Safety and Security At RiverTreeWe take the fact that you have entrusted us with the care of your child very seriously. We promise to do all that we can to keep your child safe while in our care. The following are some examples of policies and procedures in place to keep your child safe physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Security Cards: Along with a nametag, all children through 2nd grade will receive a security card. This card serves 2 purposes. First, it contains a number that we will put on the screens in the main auditorium if we need to contact you as a parent. Second, it serves as a pick up card for your child at the end of the service. We do not release any child without a card matching their nametag being presented to the room volunteer. (*3rd-5th graders do not have security cards. These children are released at the end of the service. If you would like to pick up your child directly, please alert the volunteer at your child’s room when they check in.) RiverKids Volunteer Team: We believe that we have some of the best volunteers around. RiverKids Team Members are committed to enabling your child to have an incredible experience each time they enter RiverTree. All RiverKids Children’s Ministry team members are required to complete an application as well as undergo a Michigan criminal background check so that we can do our best to ensure the safety of the children in our care.
