What exactly is Spin 180°?

Spin 180° is a spin, or a 180° on what we do for Sunday mornings.  It will be a high octane, music and video extravaganza at times and it will be an intimate and prayerful time of worship. It is a casual, laid back, outreach event that will showcase some of the talent at RiverTree, while focusing on a particular topic or theme.  Most importantly, it will always point people toward God. 

 

For example, one month the service may be called Forgiveness and you might hear the song Heart of the Matter by Don Henley as you walk into the worship room.  That song may morph into a time of prayer and confession, which in turn might morph into a movie clip followed by a hymn; the sky’s the limit to what will, or will not happen.  We will frequently use secular songs and movies, as well as hymns, praise and worship songs that you might hear us do on Sunday mornings.  Testimonies will be common place and there will always be an offering as another act of worship. 

When and where does Spin 180° take place?

Spin 180° will take place on January 28 from 6pm—7pm and we will hold it at RiverTree in the worship room. The service starts promptly at 6pm with no announcements. 

Why Spin 180°?

During the last two years the worship arts teams and leaders have tried to come up with ways to outreach to the community, as well as friends, family, co-workers, neighbors, etc.  We understand that outreach can sometimes be a “scary thing” and that not everyone is comfortable doing outreach on their own.

Who is it for?

It is for anyone and everyone, including kids. Nursery will be set up for the little ones (0-30 months), but we want kids to be able to participate right along side their family and friends. Moreover, please remember: this is a way for you to invite someone from work, from your neighborhood, from your family; it’s outreach and we need you to help make it succeed.   

How can I get involved with Spin 180°?

Invite someone or multiple someone’s.  Also, pray for this service and those already involved.  Satan will try to disrupt this opportunity and put an end to the service.  We need to be bathed in the armor of God and we need to be lifted up by the prayers of the church body.  Pray, too, that God may find His way into the lives of those who attend Spin 180°; He is already preparing their hearts to be here.  Lastly, you can contact the church office.  There is always room for more people interested in this type of outreach.
